Exosomes: A Next-Generation Platform for Drug Delivery
Exosomes are naturally secreted extracellular vesicles that play an important role in intercellular communication by transporting proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids between cells. Their lipid bilayer structure helps protect biological cargo and supports cellular uptake, making exosomes an attractive platform for next-generation drug delivery.
With advances in bioengineering, exosomes are increasingly being explored as delivery vehicles for RNA, proteins, and other therapeutic molecules. Through surface modification and cargo loading, engineered exosomes have the potential to improve tissue targeting, overcome biological barriers, and enable functional delivery to difficult-to-reach tissues such as the central nervous system and other extrahepatic organs.
At P.S.K Biosciences, we are developing exosome-based technologies through a dual-platform strategy. Our engineered exosome RNA delivery platform focuses on targeted delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics, while our natural exosome therapeutics platform is designed to support inflammation modulation, tissue repair, and regenerative applications.
As exosome technologies continue to advance, the field is moving beyond natural vesicle discovery toward defined therapeutic platforms with scalable manufacturing, quality control, and clinical translation potential. P.S.K Biosciences is committed to advancing this transformation and developing next-generation exosome-based medicines for patients with unmet medical needs.
